ND2076 : Dunnethead Lighthouse

taken 1 year ago, 3 km from Brough, Highland, Great Britain

Dunnethead Lighthouse
Dunnethead Lighthouse
At 58 40' 17" North, Dunnethead Lighthouse on Easter Head, Dunnet Head is the most northerly building on the British mainland - or to be absolutely precise, the little foghorn station seen beyond the lighthouse itself actually has that distinction.
Although many people think that John o' Groats is the most northerly tip of mainland Scotland, it is about 2 miles (over 3km) more southerly than Easter Head, Dunnet Head.
