Kinneil Fortlet on the Antonine Wall
The line of the wall is east-west following the trees. The wooden posts mark the outline of a fortlet identified by cropmarks in aerial photographs and excavated in November 1978.

Further details and an aerial photo are published under the aegis of Historic Scotland in "The Antonine Wall" by David J Breeze ISBN 0 85976 655 1
