On the top of the Long Barrow (see SS8040 : Exe Ford at West End of Long Barrow) there is a memorial stone for the former owner of Exe Cleave. The text on the boulder reads: "Harold John | Lavender Chambers | F.R.I.C.S. | 1891-1980" .
