Bournemouth’s illuminations by candlelight: the Mallard
Bournemouth’s illuminations by candlelight: the Mallard
This image of the famous train, 'the Mallard', is one of many made up of jampots with lit candles inside them.

This tradition started in 1896 when Princess Eugenie of France visited Bournemouth and was welcomed by an illumination of candles in the Gardens.
