SO6627 : Hay crop near Queen's Wood

Hay crop near Queen's Wood
Hay crop near Queen's Wood
After the rains of summer 2007, this crop has obviously been lying a long time waiting for some sun, as evidenced by the green of new growth. In an effort to retrieve the crop the farmer is putting it through the combine harvester to shake it up and remove seed. Fodder will be expensive and of poorer quality this winter!
