SO6112 : Mineshafts, Beechenhurst Colliery

taken 13 years ago, near to Edge End, Gloucestershire, Great Britain

Mineshafts, Beechenhurst Colliery.
Mineshafts, Beechenhurst Colliery.
Beechenhurst has been redeveloped as a cafe/visitor centre/picnic area and is well worth a visit, park outside elsewhere and walk in, that way you save 2(2005) and get to see some of the forest. Lurking in the carpark are these fenced off mineshafts from the days when this was quite a big pit.
