Piccadilly Circus tube station - linear world clock
Piccadilly Circus tube station - linear world clock
Architect Charles Holden and builders John Mowlem & Co refurbished the station at a cost of million in the mid-1920s, when the linear clock was installed. It has a time band which moves horizontally across from right to left, showing solar time - so it's not entirely accurate, as time zones around the world only broadly follow longitude.
