Boundary stone west of Criccieth
Boundary stone west of Criccieth
This large stone is probably a boundary stone for the E.D.& Ward boundary, west of Criccieth, but I could not find any engraving. The boundary follows an old wall line south to the Wales Coast Path SH4937 : Ancient wall and Ward boundaryand then runs west for a few metres before heading south again across the beach. This stone is west of the wall line and seems to match a boundary stone marked on the old Ordnance Survey maps. It is also worth noting that the path has been moved further inland along the field edge because of coastal erosion, so this stone is now south of the coastal path, not north of it.
