Pudding House at Montacute House
Pudding House at Montacute House
This is one of two Pudding Houses in the East Court of Montacute House. They are so called as guests would 'retire' to these to enjoy their puddings following a meal in the main dining room in Tudor and Stuart times. This would give the servants of the house the opportunity to clear and prepare the dining room for the after-dinner entertainment.
