From 1917 to 1919 Hut Lines 'A', 'B' and 'C' were surrounded by fences, barbed wire and watchtowers and used as a Prisoner of War Camp. Many of the prisoners were casualties and required further medical treatment. This section of the camp was the receiving area for prisoners.
