SO4773 : Sunny Dingle Wood

taken 12 years ago, near to Aston, Herefordshire, Great Britain

Sunny Dingle Wood.
Sunny Dingle Wood.
This has been forest for many hundreds of years. It is now a remnant of oakwood, currently being selectively felled. Sunny Dingle, or Sunny Gutter is a deep valley which unusually carries running water all year long. The OS call it "Maryknoll Valley". One of many strange placenames known only unto themselves.
