SO6278 : Crumps Brook

near to Silvington, Shropshire, Great Britain

Crumps Brook.
Crumps Brook.
A small stream running through a bracken choked corner of Catherton Common. Bracken will overwhelm almost any land that is not cultivated or cattle grazed here. The "ferns" are just the leaves of a huge underground plant. The biggest living thing in Britain may be a bracken plant. A toxic, light thieving pest.
