TL1908 : What is this?

taken 7 years ago, 3 km from Hatfield Garden Village, Hertfordshire, England

What is this?
What is this?
I have no idea what these objects are but am mightily relieved that whatever is lurking underneath is locked up. They were by one of the footpaths now on the ex- de Havilland Airfield. The paths of the runways still appear on the 1: 50 0000 OS Map current as at April 2017 but there is very little evidence on the ground of Hatfield's former pride and joy
