River Mersey, Warrington
River Mersey, Warrington
This rural view was taken from Woolston Eyes, a nature reserve formed by dredgings from the Manchester Ship Canal (the bank of which can be seen running left-right near the top of the picture). The footbridge is now closed, as the main river flow has been diverted over a new weir making the land on the right into an island.
