Footpaths on Baildon Bank
The steep bank has been extensively quarried for building and flagstones. According to a local history publication, the rights to extraction of stone were owned by the Lord of the Manor until the common lands were sold to Bradford Corporation in 1899. It now boasts an extensive network of paths - some of them shown on the map as public rights of way, others not, but it probably makes little difference in practice, as it is part of the Baildon Moor Urban Common and therefore a public open space.
