Originally the Boar's Head and later The Varsity it became The Capitol SD7109 : Pub in Churchgate, Bolton, named after the nearby cinema which was demolished to make way for Stone Cross House - the tax office. Now revamped as Hogarths LinkExternal link it specialises in gin and serves over 80 varieties. It is also home to a micro-brewery where they brew four different types of cask ales. It is owned by Amber Taverns.
