This is currently the northernmost station on the Gwili Railway which runs on the route of the erstwhile Carmarthen to Aberystwyth line. The Railway has ambitions to extend a further 4 miles to the north to Llanpumpsaint but the terrain is difficult and several bridges would need to be reinstated to achieve that, a very expensive proposition.
