Queensferry Crossing detail
Queensferry Crossing detail
One of the three support piers of the new Queensferry Crossing under construction. The bridge is due to open sometime in 2017. This is the third Forth Bridge, and the old joke which goes something like "what did they do when the Forth Bridge fell down? Built a fifth" creeps ever-closer to being true! A view of the whole bridge, and some more information, is in M J Richardson's NT1280 : Evening sun on The Queensferry Crossing.
