1GL bench mark and bolt on St Mary's church, Scarborough
This 1GL Ordnance Survey bench mark has been hidden and protected inside an outside toilet, which was added to the corner of the church tower some time after 1912. Fortunately/unfortunately the roof and door of the structure have collapsed, presumably in the recent severe winter weather, allowing the pristine mark to be seen at last.
