A Red Track in Cheshire
A Red Track in Cheshire
The public footpath from Castletown to Tilston is seen here heading towards Grafton Hall, and the colour of the track indicates that we are in sandstone country. At the end of the wood the footpath veers southeast across the farmland to skirt around the hall on a different line from that shown on the O.S.50,000 scale map. See the O.S.25,000 map. As it crosses the farm track south of the hall, the path turns east to where the path is seen crossing Carden Brook.
