High tide at the western edge of Hythe Spartina Marshes
High tide at the western edge of Hythe Spartina Marshes
Looking across Southampton Water from the western edge of Hythe Spartina Marshes. The land on the left is presumably reclaimed from the tidal mud, and is home to sailing clubs, scout huts and former military buildings. The tower blocks at Weston can be seen on the far side of Southampton Water. This area is shown with the water much lower in this photograph: SU4307 : Water drains into the Southampton Water.
