Gobowen Station
The ornate station building is no longer in railway use and is hired out as office space. The building, and possibly the canopy, is grade II listed. The GWR (style) station name board still advertises 'Gobowen for Oswestry' but for the last half century the journey hasn't been possible by rail as the Oswestry line closed to passengers in 1966. Note the semaphore signal at the end of the platform indicating that this route is still mechanically signalled.
