Admiral's Road
Admiral's Road
Byway across Fetcham Downs, so called because it was built to give Admiral Sir Francis Geary, who owned nearby Polesden Lacey from 1747 until his death in 1796, a direct access route from the Leatherhead turnpike road to his house.

It is seen here where it crosses a bridleway connecting Great Bookham and Norbury Park, at the corner of a patch of mixed woodland called The Hazels.
