North doorway to St Peter's Church
North doorway to St Peter's Church
The north porch at Theberton has been closed off to provide a vestry. The north side of the nave retains many Norman features including this doorway, originally a principal entry to the church. Pevsner surveyed the church in 1961 and noted the two orders of colonnettes and three orders of zigzags in the arch.
