'Defender' at Heybridge Basin
'Defender' is a former fast attack craft belonging to the Oman Navy, now moored on the River Blackwater at Heybridge. This naval vessel was built in Lowestoft and after serving for 17 years was gifted back to Lowestoft by the Sultan of Oman. The mast at the back belongs to a Thames sailing barge!
