SK1792 : Abbey Clough

taken 21 years ago, near to Nether Hey [hill or Mountain], Sheffield, Great Britain

Abbey Clough
Abbey Clough
Typical steepsided V shaped gritstone ravine, but on a grand scale. Drains the moors east of Derwent reservoir, and a fine path up to the wetlands above. The oak woodlands have been fenced in in the hope of regeneration.
