NM8856 : Glacially-derived boulder

taken 7 years ago, near to Kilmalieu, Highland, Scotland

Glacially-derived boulder
Glacially-derived boulder
A magnificent, isolated boulder of pink granitic gneiss showing wonderful folding patterns. In view of its angular appearance, it is probable that this has been detached from the headwall of the corrie.
