Saturday 1 July 2017 saw the Scottish Railway Preservation Society (SRPS) bring double-headed class 37s to the West Coast Main Line. Seen at Kitchen Hill between Plumpton and Penrith, large logo 37025 “Inverness TMD” leads Colas Rail liveried 37219 south with train 1Z37, the 07.18 SRPS day excursion from Edinburgh Waverley to Blackpool North.
West Coast Main Line

The West Coast Main line is a 399 mile long high speed railway from London Euston to Glasgow. The route has a long history dating back to the 1830s. The route today is one of the busiest in the country and serves the West Midlands, North West, North Wales and Southern Scotland.
