NS5580 : Oak beside the track

taken 7 years ago, near to Netherton, Stirling, Scotland

Oak beside the track
The track gives access to the various parts of the Glasgow Corporation Water Works system, built to transfer clean water from Loch Katrine to Glasgow in 1855 and 1885. There are numerous metal gates blocking the track (one is just visible in the distance), which need opening as you travel along it. A bit of a nuisance when you're cycling!
