The approach to the west side of the bridge.
This magnificent bridge spans the Avon Gorge some 245 feet above the water. Designed in 1831 by I K Brunel it was completed in 1864. With a span of 702 feet and weighing some 1,500 tons it is a distinctive landmark of the City of Bristol. Listed, grade i, with details at: LinkExternal link
