London Bridge Underground Station
London Bridge Underground Station
London Bridge Station consists of two parts, the main station (platforms 8 - 16), which is the terminus for Southern services from Kent, Sussex and South London, and the through section (platforms 1 - 6) with trains continuing on to Charing Cross, Blackfriars or Cannon Street. Platform 6 is the busiest platform in Europe.
It is the oldest of the London terminal stations, being opened on December 14th 1836 by the London and Greenwich Railway.
In 2013 a major rebuild began of the station to increase the number of through platforms, the rebuild will be completed in 2018.
