The hills of the Island of Mull are strung across the horizon. Auliston Point, where Loch Sunart and the Sound of Mull meet, is the western extent of Morvern. Down below is Port a' Chamais, the nearest sheltered landing point for the old crofting township of Bourblaige, whose inhabitants were 'cleared in 1828 on the instructions of Ardnamurchan Estate owner Sir James Milles Riddell.'
