Coast Path Shortcut, Dinas
Coast Path Shortcut, Dinas
This path cuts across the neck of Dinas Island, avoiding the hilly walk around the peninsula. The low ground followed by the path is underlain by a glacial melt-water trench. The detritus-filled valley bottom is nowhere more than a few metres above sea level, and is mostly full of alder swamp, so a small rise in sea level will make Dinas Head an island once again.
