Eastacott Cross
This fine medieval granite cross is also shown in SS6223 : Stone Cross; the junction it stands at is mapped as Stone Cross, whereas, confusingly, the junction called Eastacott Cross is 200 metres northeast. But it also boasts several other names: the ancient monument description LinkExternal link names it as "Wayside cross known as Eastacott Cross or the Stonen Hammer", while the brief listed building description LinkExternal link is of "Brightley Cross", and states that both "Brightley Cross and Winson Cross ... were both known locally as "Stonen Hammer". How baffling it all is.
