Church of Holy Trinity, Mapperley
Church of Holy Trinity, Mapperley
The church from the south. The church was built in 1966 at the expense of the National Coal Board to replace the Victorian church which was suffering damage from subsidence due to mining. The structure of A-frames on a concrete raft was designed to ensure that the church would not suffer from further subsidence.
