A West Coast Railways charter service from Carlisle passes Whitehall Junction on its approach to Leeds. This photo is looking backwards along the train - the locomotive in the photo was at the back.
The Dalesman (charter train)

West Coast Railways operate a summer charter train service between York and Carlisle, called the Dalesman. It is diesel hauled as far as Hellifield (provided with watering facilities for steam locomotives) then steam hauled over the Settle-Carlisle line.
