It is located in the former Leisure Garden, now The Memorial Garden, adjacent to All Saints churchyard in the north. The new memorial was dedicated on 8 November 2016 and incorporates the names from both WW1 and WW2. It replaces the old WW2 memorial (dedicated on 1 August 1948) >
Link which had become quite derelict. The original WW1 memorial >
Link is still contained within the church, and hence sadly inaccessible due to the fact that the doors of this church are always firmly locked.
Some of the streets within the David Wilson Homes development off Stoke Road will be named after the following names on the war memorial: Briggs, Wilson, Revel-Burroughs, Davy, Mitchell and Neale. The remaining names from the war memorial have already been commemorated within the Norfolk Homes development north of Heath Loke >
Link.
