Galtee House, Heanor Road
Galtee House, Heanor Road
Built in 1897 for Dr John Tobin, now converted to office use. The name is said to derive from it being built with the proceeds of successful bets on a famous racehorse, Galtee More, in 1897 winning the triple crown of the 2000 Guineas, Derby and St Leger. The house makes extensive use of terracotta decoration Link Link
