Following the IRA bomb a footpath has been created along Corporation Street between the Arndale Centre (left) and M&S (right).

The Arndale Centre (Manchester Arndale) is the largest Inner City shopping centre in the UK. It was built in the 1970s and redeveloped after the IRA bombing of 1996. There are over 240 shops in the centre covering one and a half million square feet.
