Statfold Barn Railway - unrestored locomotive
Statfold Barn Railway - unrestored locomotive
The locomotive is representative of the starting point of several of Statfold's projects. This was built by Baldwin of Philadelphia in 1916 as No. 44657 and is a 4-6-0PT. Built for military service in WWI it finished its working life at Ryam sugar factory in Bihar State, India. A sister engine was received at the same time but moved onto another site for eventual operation in Lancashire.
