St Martin's Church, North Perrott
View from the south of the transept window and crossing tower. The Perpendicular windows (Pevsner calls the tracery "coarse and uncusped") were apparently sponsored by Henry Daubeney, Earl of Bridgewater (LinkExternal link ), who got mixed up in the Catherine Howard scandal and forfeited his property to the crown in 1541. The scaffolding was up because the lead on the roof had been stolen before I visited!
