Seen from the churchyard, the church adjoins the canal and was built in 1847 by Wyatt & Brandon. The chancel, incomplete tower and north aisle were added in 1871-2 by J.D. Sedding. There is glass by Christopher Whall within, but the building was not open on the day of my visit.
