Lewisham station is a major suburban junction of the ex-SE&CR, on the Mid-Kent lines from London Charing Cross and Cannon Street, also since the 1920s connected with Blackfriars and Victoria via Nunhead, to Beckenham Junction via New Beckenham and via Elmer's End to Hayes, also until 5/83 to Sanderstead and to Addiscombe until June 1997. All of these lines were electrified (750v DC third-rail) in the 1920s. The North Kent Line platforms and lines to Bexleyheath, Dartford etc. are off frame to the left - see TQ3875 : Lewisham station 2000, North Kent lines.
