Arthog: Afon Mawddach
View of the Mawddach Estuary, looking south west towards Barmouth. The end of the railway bridge crossing the estuary can just be seen. Trains from Ruabon and Bala ran along the southern shore of the estuary; its retaining wall visible here. This is now the Mawddach Trail for walkers and cyclists, managed by the Snowdonia National Park. On the right, the wooded promontory stands just south west of Bontddu
