TQ0018 : Incised road on south side of Hesworth Common

taken 7 years ago, near to Fittleworth, West Sussex, England

Incised road on south side of Hesworth Common
Incised road on south side of Hesworth Common
A very minor road leads around the west and south sides of Hesworth Common to service Hesworth Farm and Grange, before continuing, unsealed, down to Lower Street in Little Fittleworth. Here, the road gives away its great age by passing through a deeply incised cutting through the greensand rock.
