Strelley Hall and park
Strelley Hall and park
This is a telephoto view from near the corner of Main Street at the west end of the estate village. According to the 1979 revision of Nikolaus Pevsner's county guide, "By Thomas Gardner of Uttoxeter, 1789-92, a large, absolutely plain brick house of seven by five bays and two-and-a-half storeys, now all cemented. Entrance and garden fronts pedimented...Beautifully landscaped park with sunken road and orchard wall hidden by an earth bank."

Some rendering has fallen since Stephen Richards took SK5042 : Strelley Hall, Strelley in 2003.

For a comparable portrait-format view, see SK5042 : Towards Strelley Hall.
