NS5765 : The Squinty Bridge
Glasgow, Glasgow City, Great Britain

The Squinty Bridge
Also the Clyde Arc or Finnieston Bridge, opened September 2006. The bridge has a 140m single span and carries a 4 lane road deck including 2 public transport lanes and cycleways across the river Clyde, joining Finnieston on the north bank with Pacific Quay on the south. The bridge crossing is built on the skew (hence the 'squinty' nickname) as its position was constrained by developments on both river banks. The construction is a steel bowstring asymmetrical tied arch. The arch straddles the deck.
