The Holmes
The Holmes
Occupying a spot in leafy Stoke Park, this Victorian house became property of the University of Bristol. Originally a large residence built in the 'Arts and Crafts' style in 1879, and once home to American staff planning D-Day strategies in WWII, today the original ornamental grounds have been adapted into the expansive Botanic Gardens we see today. It is used for student accommodation and offices.
