The diminutive ‘Prince’, the world’s oldest working steam locomotive, built in 1863, passes the bulk of articulated Beyer Garratt 143 built in Manchester for use in South Africa in the 1950s and subsequently returned to Britain and restored for use on the Welsh Highland.
