The Packing Shed
The Packing Shed
The Packing Shed was built around 1890 on the island which came to be called Packing Shed Marsh Island. It was used for cleaning and packing the Mersea Native Oysters. It had become derelict by the end of the 1980s. It was restored in the early 1990s. It is now rented out for events: LinkExternal link
